Outlook does not open. Microsoft Office Home and Student installed on new Windows 7 computer. Outlook is not shown running on the desktop but is shown running in task manager. To close the program that is preventing windows from restarting, click cancel, and then close the program. Do you want to start Outlook in Safe Mode? I say yes and start Outlook in Safe Mode, cannot see any problem or fault code. Then I click on file, exit to shut Outlook down. After that I can start Outlook normally and I can open and close Outlook normally for a few times and then the problem repeats itself. The must be a bug in Outlook I did not see any problem in the forum that matched this. I have installed all the Microsoft Updates.
